Education, to me, has never been confined to classrooms, textbooks or examinations. It is a lifelong journey of discovery and transformation, a responsibility to awaken curiosity, build character, nurture confidence and prepare every child not simply for academic success, but for life itself. My journey with the Piroja Vasunia Education Trust, Activity High School, New Activity School and the Activity Group of Schools is inseparable from my own journey as an Educator. Over the decades, I have had the privilege of teaching, learning, leading and growing alongside generations of Students, Teachers and Families. Every generation brings new aspirations, new challenges and new possibilities, yet the purpose at the heart of Education remains constant: to recognise the individuality of every child and provide an environment in which that individuality can flourish. At the Piroja Vasunia Education Trust, we carry forward an educational philosophy built upon strong values, integrity and a deep respect for the responsibility entrusted to us by every family. Our Schools are more than institutions of academic learning; they are communities where young minds are encouraged to question, explore, participate, persevere, and discover who they can become. Academic excellence is important, but I believe the true measure of Education lies equally in the values our Students carry with them: integrity, compassion, resilience, independence, responsibility, and a willingness to contribute meaningfully to the world around them. As Principal of the Activity Group of Schools, I remain deeply connected to the everyday life of our Institutions. I believe leadership in Education must never become distant from the classroom. It must remain connected to Students, Teachers, and Parents, because through listening, observing, and continually learning, an educational institution remains relevant and alive. Our Teachers are central to this journey. When we empower Educators to grow, innovate and inspire, we strengthen the learning experience of every child entrusted to our care. My work within the wider ICSE and CISCE educational community further reinforces my belief that Education advances when Educators and Institutions learn from one another. Through my involvement in academic, administrative and sporting initiatives, Teacher Development and academic writing, I continue to contribute to an educational community that extends beyond the boundaries of our own Schools. Education is never the work of one individual or one institution; it is a shared responsibility, strengthened through collaboration, experience and the willingness to keep evolving. Having witnessed Education transform across generations, I firmly believe that progress does not require us to abandon the values that have stood the test of time. The challenge and the opportunity are to preserve what is meaningful while having the courage to embrace what is new. Technology, innovation and changing approaches to learning continue to reshape Education, but they must always serve a larger human purpose. We must prepare our Students for a constantly changing world while ensuring they remain grounded in timeless values. I am immensely proud of the generations of Students who have walked through our doors and gone forward to create their own paths. Our Alumni carry a part of our Institution wherever they go, and their achievements, values and contributions remain among the most meaningful expressions of our educational legacy. At the same time, every new child who enters our Schools represents a new beginning and reminds us that an Institution with a proud history must always remain focused on the future. As I look ahead, my commitment remains as strong as ever: to continue strengthening the Piroja Vasunia Education Trust and the Activity Group of Schools, to support our Educators, to remain responsive to the evolving needs of our Students and to ensure that our Institutions continue to stand for meaningful, progressive and value-based Education. I believe that the greatest legacy of an Educator is not what we build for Students, but what we enable Students to build for themselves. If we can give every child the confidence to think independently, the courage to pursue their potential, the character to make responsible choices and the compassion to make a difference, then we have fulfilled the true purpose of Education. Our history gives us our foundation. Our values give us our strength. Our Students give us our purpose. And our commitment to Education leads us forward.
